Secrets to Playing Block Blast for High Scores - Apply These Tips and Reach the Top

Secrets to Playing Block Blast for High Scores - Apply These Tips and Reach the Top

Tip 1: Maintain a Continuous Combo Chain (The Decisive Factor)

Strategy: When you have 3 new blocks, don't rush to clear the row on the first block unless absolutely necessary. Use 1 or 2 blocks to "bait" (prepare for the rows that are about to fill), then use the last block to activate the clearing chain.

Keeping each block placement disappearing at least one row/column will help prevent your combo bar from being interrupted.

Tip 2: Prioritize clearing large square blocks (3x3, 2x2) first

The number one enemy that will get you "Game Over" is the large square blocks that suddenly appear at the end of the turn.

If among the 3 blocks provided there is a 3x3 block or a large L-shaped block, find a place to put them immediately.

Small blocks (1-cell blocks, 2-cell blocks) are easy to fit into the gaps later.

Tip 3: Keep the center area clear

The mistake most beginners make is filling the center with blocks and leaving the corners empty. When the center is cluttered, you won't be able to place long or Z-shaped blocks.

Always try to push blocks to the edges or bottom corners.

Keep the center area (approximately the 4x4 grid in the middle) clean to serve as a "transit point" for all types of terrain.

Tip 4: "Think ahead" - Don't just focus on one block

Each turn gives you 3 blocks at a time. Before placing the first block, take 3 seconds to calculate: If this block is placed here, where will the second and third blocks be placed? Coordinating combos from all 3 blocks in one turn will help you manage the board space much better.

Tip 5: Utilize the "Cross-Clear" tactic.

Don't just focus on clearing rows. Try to create a position where, when you place a block, it can clear both a horizontal row and a vertical column at the same time. This "Double Clear" will yield a huge bonus and free up a significant amount of space on the board.
